The key to a successful groundwater project is thorough and professional planning. With our long experience and modern technologies and methods, we take care of your groundwater and artificial groundwater investigations, monitoring plans for waterworks and assessing the groundwater impacts of water withdrawal and other activities.
Our turnkey groundwater or artificial groundwater projects include thorough planning that ensures that the scope and cost effectiveness of the investigations are appropriate. We plan the locations of the investigation points and we select the investigation methods used so that the scope and the methods of the investigation serve the purpose of the investigation. We have a wide variety of different investigation methods from which to choose the ones that suit the purpose the best.
In the investigations we use our extensive archive that includes for example pumping and structure information of over 2000 screen tube wells, research materials from significant percentage of aquifers in Finland and already investigated but not yet used locations for water withdrawal.

Thoroughly planned investigations can be executed regardless of the time of the year.
Monitoring programs are used for monitoring the impacts of water withdrawal to the aquifer. We create practical, meaningful and cost-effective monitoring programs for waterworks and the program also takes the long-term costs into account. To create practical monitoring programs, we negotiate with the authorities about the suitable scope of the program. We have experience of several successful monitoring program negotiations with the authorities.

Observation wells play a crucial role in the impact monitoring.
In permit and statement processes, the impacts of the existing or planned water withdrawal typically need to be known. With our decades-long experience and accurate and precise measurements, we assess the impacts of the water withdrawal to the aquifer as well as to the groundwater-dependent ecosystems. In the assessments, we use e.g. field investigation methods, existing data from our extensive archive and groundwater flow modeling.
The current legislation and case law restricts all activities that pose a risk to groundwater. The restriction requires, among other things, adequate investigations of the soil conditions and the groundwater flow directions. For this purpose, we offer soil drillings and groundwater observation wells with which we can find out about the soil and groundwater conditions with our precise measurement methods. We have worked on such cases both investigating the conditions as well as giving statements about someone's investigations. The documents we have prepared for different courts have led to preliminary rulings significant to the field. Thus, we are very familiar and aware of the requirements of the investigations.

The investigations are planned on case-by-case basis taking into account the scope and the conditions of the site.
